French Language Help?
I need to translate these two sentences into French. This is what i've done so far...let me know how where i'm going wrong. Thanks.
"Other than the jewelry that had been in the family for 150 years, my mother insisted that we bring the piano that her father had bought her when she was a little girl."
"Autre que les bijoux qui avaient été dans la famille pendant 150 années, ma mère a insisté pour que nous apportons le piano que son père lui avait acheté quand elle était une petite fille."
"I cried the entire flight (although I don’t remember this), my grandparents did crossword puzzles, and my dad remembers watching my mother and sister for hours as they slept on each other’s shoulders."
"J'ai pleuré pendant tout le vol (bien que je ne m’en souviens pas), mes grands-parents ont fait des mots croisés, et mon père se souviens d'observer ma mère et ma sœur pendant des heures — comment chacune dormait sur l’épaule de l’autre."
Pretty good; I made some minor corrections.
"En plus des bijoux qui avaient été dans la famille depuis 150 ans, ma mère a insisté pour que nous apportions le piano que son père lui avait acheté quand elle était petite fille."
"J'ai pleuré pendant tout le vol (bien que je ne m’en souvienne pas), mes grands-parents ont fait des mots croisés et mon père se souvient d'avoir observé ma mère et ma sœur pendant des heures alors qu'elles dormaient sur l’épaule de l’autre." (Although I don't see how 2 people can sleep on the shoulder of the other at the same time 
EDIT: I stick with dormaient.
