New blue imagination
The blue, beige and red combination of colours is a winning combination in this saree. The usage of geometric designs to form the pattern has also been deftly applied. The crepe jacquard saree has intricate designs on the body and the border of the saree with carefully applied skills. The matching blouse material is based on the pattern found in the border of the saree. The experiment done with colours and patterns has turned out to be successful in this case. The smooth saree flows gracefully through a woman's waist and torso exuding a tranquil feminity that makes the whole textile totally exotic.
The border edge of the saree is very narrow with a blue base and heavy embroidery in beige thread. This is followed by an equally narrow strip that has tiny red and beige checks that have been placed alternate to each other. After this part towards the inside of the saree, the lower part has a blue wavy pattern on a red base and the upper part has two shades of beige to form diamond shapes. Throughout the saree an elongated s shaped self coloured pattern is used both on the blue and beige parts. The saree also houses some occasionally placed medium sized circles that are filled with sequins.
The saree is an interesting wear for winter evenings. Blue jewellery like blue studded bangles in combination with blue glass bangles and blue chokers would suit the saree. Besides that, red clutch and red block heels would give a totally different appearance. The blouse material with the red base and blue waves found on the border is a refreshing imagination.
