Incense Jewelry
What color shopping bag would you like to have?

I will be opening my own store early next year and I would like to get your views on a few things.
The store is a metaphysical/pagan/wiccan/etc store. It will sell stones, jewelry, books, tarot cards, candles, shirts, athames, incense, herbs and many more things.

1. What color bags would you like to bring your items home in? (I have a selection of your basic white, dark green, purple, pink, or red)

2. What items would you like to see first when you enter the store? (What would you see through the window and draw you in?)

3. Other than coupons and discounts, what is something I could personally offer you?

4. What do you expect in customer service and in a store?

And anything you would like to add would be great, thank you!

1. I think I would prefer green but more important to me than color is what they are made of. Either recycled paper or reusable fabric are my favorites.
2. What draws me into a shop are statuary, goblets, wands and athames but what I end up buying most often are candles, incense, herbs and books.
3. A place to hang out and meet other Pagans, classes, meetups and maybe even rituals.
4. Acknowledge me. As I walk into the store, make eye contact, smile and ask if there is anything you can help me find. If you are busy with another customer still make eye contact and smile. Then when you are done with the customer ask if you can help me. Make every customer feel like they are important. As far as the store itself, I have been in many metaphisical stores and I've seen all kinds. One that I didn't like shoping in was dirty and cluttered. It had a store cat which is cool but the shop always smelled like a dirty litter box. Another store that I didn't like much was one that was looked like every other boutique in town, there was nothing magical about it. It was too clean and organized. There was no magic in it. So I guess somewhere between those two is the perfect shop. A little artistic clutter, but organized in a way that things are easy to find. Clean without being sterile. A little quirky and magical without being creepy. Where will your shop be?
