how to sterilize (sp) lip jewelry?
I get my lip studs from this one place because they are cheap and they look like nothing you could find in a piercing place. They have like faces and cherries on them i like it its not little jewels or something. The only thing is the place is really dirty. Its just a little shop in this big store. Its a farmers market and the people there are gross. I know the jewelry there isn't very clean because last time i bough stuff there the lady let us pick up whatever we wanted and that means people who don't was their hands after the bathroom could have touched it.
last time i used peroxide and water but when i put the stud in it tasted funny for like a few days.
i know ur not suppost to like use alchol or peroxide on a piercing but what is the best way to clean them and sterilize them before putting them in my lip?
i don't think u need to go as far as sterilizing it to make it safe to put on ur lip. to clean my jewelry i use antibacterial soap and water and so far no problems with any of them. usually all instructions say use soap and water. i sometimes use the ear piercing solution to clean them...i figure if u need to clean ur piercing with it to prevent infection and whatnot then its safe to clean the jewelry with it too. and iv also used bactine. all three work have worked so far.
