Jewelry boxes are women's best friends
Women have been known to collect accessories and jewelries, not only because they add and highlight a woman's features and beauty, but also they used be representations of their status in life. And even the boxes that house these jewelries were considered to be symbols of the owners' status. And today, even men have their own jewelry boxes to keep their valuables safe.
Imagine having a very expensive diamond necklace that is being kept in an old and plain chocolate box, not only will it look awkward, but will also make the necklace look cheap. Jewelries and other women's accessories should be stored in the right containers, greatly suitable for the items that you will place inside them. This is where jewelry boxes come in, these boxes are available almost anywhere and can be sold in different shapes, sizes, prices and designs; some are even made for specific purposes.
The most popular type of jewelry boxes is the musical box. This box plays certain music when opened and some even come with a ballerina that dances around the box. Musical jewelry boxes are usually made using durable plastics, wood, and metal while others are made with porcelain. Children as the most likely patrons of such jewelry box and even those who are amused with the music it plays.
Valet boxes are boxes which are designed for men who something to store their valuables in. They usually store their watches, rings, cuffs, wallet and change inside valet boxes. This type of jewelry box is commonly dark in color and covered in leather.
Wood carved jewelry boxes often times resemble treasure chests and bathroom/dresser chests. Typically, they are larger and can house several types of jewelries at the same time. Some have extra drawers and hidden cabinets or storage areas to keep the most valuable accessories safe and hidden.
Watch boxes are made specifically for one purpose, and that is to keep watches safe from being dropped or marred. These boxes have watch bands or rings that keep the watches from bumping onto each other.
Jewelry boxes that only house rings are called ring boxes. These have tiny slots that can hold rings. Some boxes are small enough to just keep 1 but others can keep up to 20 different rings inside.
Jewelry boxes, no matter what kind or make they are, can definitely serve their purpose well. They are not only used to store priceless and even not so expensive jewelries, but they can also help maintain the quality of each at its acceptable or even its highest state.
