Sick
Its not an illness
any pill or liquid could cure
Not something trembling hands could reach-
pull out, and somehow be saved
This heavy weight upon your chest
as if the world climbed upon you
No, its a pain
Deep in the caverns of the mind
Dancing upon doubt...fear..hopelessness..
A territory the heart grew accustomed to
but no less a sting than any before
It burns within you now
Emotional bile building in tunnels
Acid drizzling behind your eyes
Makes your sights grow distant
when your mind is trying to drive
You try and shake it; but it loosens old trinkets
Items stored in the compartments of your past
Rusted and broken-liked your chained words
You dare not release
How could you possibly?
Because in the end it wouldn't change anything
Record skips in the confines on your space
that familiar sick tune, you can't get out
Rip from your head-
Yet I can't stop listening...
Cause I put it there in the first place

I think a lot of us can feel and relate to it..
I have had a bit of panic disorder (they like to call it that) for some time.
I would be in the store step out the door and it like washed over me.. held me in its embrace... I would wake from a deep sleep... my heart...
in a race.. and I did not want to close my eyes.. or perhaps I would die?
twisting .. writhing like guilt spiraling down my spine.... I cannot breathe..
