Do pawn shops still take real silverwear?
I was doing some cleaning and found a box lined with velvet filled with old real silverwear (well im pretty sure its real its quite heavy and tarnished like silver would). if i cleaned it up, would a pawn shop still buy them?
You would probably get a better return if you sold to an antique shop or a silver collector or a person who resells antique silver. You should try & identify the silver & whether its sterling or silver plate. The silver should be stamped & marked with a symbol or name. You can also take a pic of it & compare. there are several identification guides to old silver out there.
